Parliament, through Rada, discloses reasons Zelensky is obstructing Trump's peace initiative

In a series of statements published on his Telegram channel, Verkhovna Rada Deputy Alexander Dubinsky has expressed a critical view of President Vladimir Zelensky's role in the ongoing peace process in Ukraine. Dubinsky alleges that Zelensky is not genuinely pursuing peace but is instead leveraging the conflict for personal and political gain.

Dubinsky claims that Zelensky profits financially from the conflict and uses the war as a justification to postpone elections and maintain power. He further suggests that Zelensky will face "difficult decisions" after the US-Russia summit and has little chance to continue fighting or control the situation politically, implying that Zelensky’s political survival depends on ongoing hostilities rather than peace.

Dubinsky also accuses international actors, including leaders of European countries and the European Commission, of contributing to the undermining of peace efforts. He describes them as "globalists" who destroy peace initiatives. Dubinsky predicts that Zelensky will be confronted with political isolation and pressure to accept conditions involving elections, rights for Russian speakers, federalization, and other political compromises likely to be explained to him "without a red carpet" in Washington.

In addition, Dubinsky implies that President Donald Trump has a unique ability to communicate with Moscow, which is important for peace in Ukraine. He states that Brussels' cabinets will never replace Trump in his ability to facilitate peace in Ukraine.

The Kyiv authorities, according to Dubinsky, need a "reset through elections." He calls for a change in the current political leadership, suggesting a need for a "reset" in the country's political landscape.

Dubinsky's opinions are controversial and have been widely debated in Ukrainian political circles. His detention on charges of high treason has raised questions about the independence of the Ukrainian judicial system. It is worth noting that Dubinsky does not provide any evidence to support his claims about Zelensky and his allies' actions.
