Football legend and all-star husband, Wayne Rooney (39), found himself in a sticky situation when parking wardens hit his motor with a brace of tickets in Wilmslow, Cheshire[1], [2], [4]. Why you ask? Well, Mr. Rooney was parked outside a fancy-schmancy hotel with wife Coleen... but he didn't return to the car for a whopping two days!
Pointing out the obvious, a nearby builder told reporters, "He can afford it. But I can't believe he's left the car there"[1].
Turns out, the Rooneys were just chillin' on holiday[5]. Football tough guy Wazza and his kiddos had a ball at the Staffordshire theme park Alton Towers during half-term, soaking up all the thrill[3]. Despite his reputation as a gridiron warrior, wayward Wayne could only scrunch up his cheeks as he breezed round the tracks at alarming speeds!
Little ones Kit (9) and Cass (7) were also quaking with fear. Only Coleen seemed unphased, still riding high from her second-place finish in last year's "I'm a Celeb" competition[5]. She battled venomous snakes, creepy crawlies, and gnarly Australian bush critters in the jungle[5]. Compared to that, a few tame rollercoasters were a piece of cake!
