Unbothered Paris Jackson Stands Her Ground Amid Criticism on Anniversary of Michael's Death

- Paris Jackson faces questions over account following controversial posts.

Grab a seat and grab a beer, 'cause we're about to spill some tea! Paris Jackson, the proud daughter of the King of Pop, is clapping back at the naysayers who've been tearing her a new one for choosing to perform on the very same day Michael Jackson left us—June 25th! Yup, you heard that right—the day she's scheduled to open for Incubus at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville happens to be that mournful day. And let's be real, folks, that's a tough pill to swallow for some die-hard fans and critics who are none too pleased about this turn of events.

In an Instagram rage of sorts (hey, who can blame her?), the singer-songwriterlet loose a verbal assault on those questioning her choice: "You bet your sweet bippy people are upset again!" she blasted, addressing her detractors head-on. "The tour date I'm going along with Incubus and Manchester Orchestra? Oh, guess what day that landmines on? June 25th—the most depressing day in the books for me, my family, and people who still adore Michael Jackson!"

No Call: No Show

To clear up the confusion, the young starlet made it crystal clear that, as a supporting act, she doesn't have the power to make decisions on performance dates, times, or locations. "It's the 'big honcho'—the headliner—who pulls the strings," she emphasized. "When you're the opening act, you ain't got no say in what's what and when."

In case you missed it, Michael Jackson breathed his last on June 25, 2009, at the tender age of 50, following a heart attack caused by a prescription drug overdose. So, next week will mark the sad 16th anniversary of his demise.

But don't think for a moment that Paris is milking the situation for special treatment. "When you're the opening act, you don't get all the perks either," she went on to say. "The first of three bands ain't gonna be strutting their stuff on a fancy tour bus. Maybe you'll catch me in a Sprinter van, but that's as good as it gets."

Turns out, Paris will be keeping it low-key, on tour with just her acoustic guitar and her sound technician—her fiancé, Justin Long, who happens to be hitching a ride along with her.

Let's Get Real... B*tches

But, don't think for a second that Paris rollin' over and accepting the criticism with open arms. "Let's face it, they're doin' me a solid by taking me along on tour," she snarked, in a clear message to those who've been stirring up drama. "Gimme a break, should I just tell them I can't perform on that day?" she added, with a conceding sigh. "Oh, get lost if you've got a problem with it. I've got zero chill for you, haters!"

The announcement of Paris' inclusion in Incubus' "Morning View + The Hits Tour" in both the US and the UK was made back in March. "Thrilled to have @parisjackson joining us on tour," the band wrote in their ecstatic post at the time. "Can't wait to see you all there," they added, with undying enthusiasm.

As for Mike? Well, he'll always be the King of Pop, that much is clear!
