Parents' neglectful school trips pose risk, police issue safety alert

Yesterday, police found that action was needed at an elementary school in Arnstadt due to unsafe road behavior by parents and drivers. A 52-year-old cyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a Skoda driver on Wolff-Knippenberg-Straße. The collision occurred at the intersection with Thoeryer Straße. Thankfully, the driver involved has been cooperative with the police investigation, and the cause of the accident remains unknown.
In a separate incident, a 19-year-old woman fell off her Vespa on "Grenzhammer" street in Ilmenau. The young woman was slightly injured in the accident, and the Vespa remained driveable. The estimated property damage from the collision is 2,000 euros.
