Parapet Appoints Roxana Gureanu as CEO to Drive Renewable Energy Expansion in Europe
Parapet has named Roxana Gureanu as its new Chief Executive Officer. The company, which specialises in renewable energy and storage solutions, is expanding rapidly across Europe. Gureanu will now lead efforts to grow its engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services internationally.
Under her leadership, Parapet aims to strengthen its position as a key player in the European renewables market. The appointment comes as the firm reports a near fourfold increase in turnover and staff numbers over the past year.
Gureanu brings extensive experience in energy infrastructure to her new role. Before joining Parapet, she served as CFO at Sparking Capital and Managing Director of Habau Romania. Her work includes major projects in the Black Sea region, some linked to the EU's RePowerEU initiative.
Her academic background includes an Executive MBA from WU Executive Academy Vienna and a Master of Arts in Board Practice and Directorship from Henley Business School. At Parapet, she will focus on scaling up EPC operations across Europe. The company's growth is backed by a strong project pipeline. For 2026, its contracted portfolio exceeds 1 GW, covering photovoltaic, wind, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). In Germany and Italy, Parapet has already secured deals for 217 MW of solar projects. Meanwhile, in Romania, it is developing 410 MWh of storage capacity alongside roughly 700 MW of wind and solar installations. Parapet's rapid expansion reflects its ambition to become a leading EPC provider in renewable energy. The firm's recent financial and operational gains highlight its rising influence in the sector.
Gureanu's appointment aligns with Parapet's strategy to expand its EPC services across Europe. The company now manages over 1 GW of renewable projects, with a growing presence in key markets like Romania, Germany, and Italy. Her leadership will be central to driving further growth in the coming years.
