Paramount+ Expands Star Trek Universe with New Series and Renewals
Paramount+ is set to launch a new Star Trek series, Starfleet Academy, on January 15, 2026. The streaming service has also revealed renewals and updates for other Star Trek shows. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy will premiere with the first two episodes on January 15, 2026, followed by weekly episodes until March 12. The series is led by co-showrunners Alex Kurtzman and Noga Landau, with a star-studded cast including Holly Hunter, Sandro Rosta, and Karim Diané Kerrice Brooks, among others. Colbert fans will be delighted to know that Stephen Colbert will voice the Digital Dean of Students. With Star Trek: Starfleet Academy's upcoming premiere and the renewal of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Trekkies have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.
