Paramount Boosts International Team with Two Key Appointments

Paramount Pictures has announced two key appointments in its international theatrical distribution team. Ricardo Cortes has been promoted to Executive Vice President (EVP) of international theatrical distribution and head of Paramount Plus Latin America, while Josh Silverman joins as President of global products & experiences.

Cortes, who has been with Paramount since 2007, has overseen regional launches of major franchises such as Sonic The Hedgehog, Mission: Impossible, and Transformers. Prior to this, he worked at United International Pictures as sales manager, Latin America and Caribbean based in Brazil. In his new role, Cortes will oversee Paramount Plus's theatrical distribution strategy across international markets and continue leading operations in Latin America.

Silverman, who will take up his position on October 6, will oversee a portfolio including consumer products, live experiences, publishing, partnerships, and e-commerce for physical products at Paramount Plus. He brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at Marvel Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company, and Mattel. Silverman will report to Paramount Plus president Jeff Shell.

Cortes' promotion and Silverman's appointment reflect Paramount Plus's commitment to strengthening its international presence and expanding its product offerings. Both executives bring extensive industry experience to their new roles.
