Denial by ZI Khan Panna: '71 Mancha' Not Planning Visit to Dhanmondi 32 on 15 August

In a recent development, Supreme Court lawyer ZI Khan Panna has denied a claim that he, under the banner of '71 Mancha', will visit Dhanmondi 32 on 15 August. The denial was made in a post on his verified Facebook account on 8 August, in the evening.

Earlier, writer Taslima Nasrin posted a photo of Dr Kamal Hossain and ZI Khan Panna on Facebook, suggesting a mourning procession to 32 No under their leadership. However, the exact nature of the event or purpose of the visit remains unclear.

'71 Mancha', a new platform launched on 5 August, aims to prevent the distortion of the history of the Liberation War and protect the dignity of freedom fighters. The platform was formed with freedom fighters, representatives of the new generation, and students. Bir Protik Prof Abdullah Al Mahmud, another coordinator of the group, was also mentioned in Taslima Nasrin's post.

It is not clear if Dr Kamal Hossain has also denied the claim. No specific reason was given by ZI Khan Panna for his denial.
