In the aftermath of the devastating Pahalgam terror attack that claimed the lives of 26 innocent civilians, Pakistani actors Farhan Saeed and Sabeena Farooq have blasted the Indian media for their irresponsible and inflammatory coverage. Farhan Saeed Bashes Indian Media
On Friday, Farhan took to social media to vent about the Indian media's distasteful response to the Pahalgam attack. He penned a fiery post stating, "Listen up, Indian media! Your addiction to TRP ratings and sensationalism has finally caught up with you. You're not just disgracing your profession, but you're also stirring the hornets' nest & putting lives at risk. It's about bloody time you realized that your biased reporting fuels animosity between our nations!"
Sabeena Farooq Accuses Indian Media of Brainwashing People
Farhan's Suno Chanda co-star, Sabeena Farooq, echoed his sentiments on Instagram. She wrote, "Shame on you, Indian media! Instead of standing by humanity and offering condolences to the families of the victims, you chose to exploit the tragedy for your selfish desires. Not every crisis is a ratings bonanza, and human suffering should not be used as a pawn in your sick game."
For those unaware, Farhan and Sabeena are two of the most recognized actors in Pakistan, with a substantial fan base in India due to their roles in Suno Chanda, Mere Humsafar, Mere Ajnabi, and more. Farhan has also lent his voice to the song Thodi Der in the Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor-starrer Half Girlfriend. Sabeena, too, is a famous actress in Pakistan, known for her performances in Suno Chanda, Tere Bin, Kabuli Pulao, Mann Jogi, and several other projects.
Other Pakistani actors such as Hania Aamir, Mawra Hocane, Mahira Khan, and Fawad Khan have also expressed their sorrow over the Pahalgam terror attack. The attack, which took place on Tuesday, April 22, has enraged Indian citizens, who demand stringent action against those responsible for the horror that befell the innocent tourists in Pahalgam. PM Modi even cut short his official trip to Saudi Arabia upon learning about the tragedy.
