The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 17-member squad for the UAE tri-series and Asia Cup 2025. The squad includes a mix of seasoned players and young talents, such as Salman Ali Agha (captain), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jr, and Mohammad Haris, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Saim Ayub, Khushdil Shah, Hussain Talat, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Mirza, Sufyan Moqim, Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf.

Pakistan's first match in the Asia Cup 2025 will be against the UAE on September 17, following the UAE tri-series, which features Pakistan, Afghanistan, and hosts UAE, and is scheduled to be played in Sharjah from August 29 to September 7. The important India vs Pakistan match will take place on September 14.

The Asia Cup 2025 format consists of two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super 4 stage. If both Pakistan and India progress, they could face each other up to three times, with the tournament final set for September 28. The Super Four stage matches include A1 vs B2 on September 24, A2 vs B1 on September 23, and the final match of the Super Four stage between A1 and B1 on September 26.

The Asia Cup 2025 will be held entirely in the T20 International format and will take place in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
