Pakistan and West Indies are tied in their series after West Indies clinched a 5-wicket victory in the second ODI.

In the second One-Day International (ODI) of the series between West Indies and Pakistan, played on August 10 at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago, the home team emerged victorious by 5 wickets.

West Indies, having won the toss, elected to field first. Due to rain interruptions, Pakistan's innings was curtailed to 37 overs, resulting in a score of 171/7. Notable performances from the Pakistani side included Hasan Nawaz, who scored 36 not out off 30 deliveries, and Hussain Talat, who made 31 off 32 balls.

Under the rain rule, West Indies were set a revised target of 181 runs from 35 overs. In response, the West Indies openers struggled initially, but Roston Chase and Justin Greaves steadied the ship with a 77-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Chase, in particular, was impressive, scoring 49 not out off 47 balls, while Greaves contributed 26 off 31 balls.

Jayden Seales, bowling for Pakistan, took 3 wickets for 23 runs in 7 overs, making him a significant contributor to the Pakistani bowling effort. Mohammad Nawaz, on the other hand, claimed 2 wickets for 17 runs for Pakistan.

In the end, West Indies successfully chased the target, scoring 184/5 in 33.2 overs. Sherfane Rutherford scored 45 off 33 balls for West Indies, contributing to their successful chase.

This victory for West Indies marks a turnaround in the series, as Pakistan had won the first ODI played on Friday. The third and final match in the ODI series is scheduled for Tuesday at the same venue.

It is worth noting that Pakistan had previously won the preceding Twenty20 series 2-1, which was played in Florida.

This exciting series continues to keep cricket enthusiasts on the edge of their seats, with both teams showcasing their skills and determination on the field.
