Ariana Grande's premiere of 'Wicked' in Singapore turned chaotic when an assailant, later identified as 'Pajama Man,' lunged at her. Cynthia Erivo, Grande's co-star, swiftly intervened, pushing the attacker aside. Security personnel swiftly stepped in to control the situation.

The incident occurred during the Singapore premiere of 'Wicked: Part 2,' set to release in German cinemas on November 19. Grande, who plays Glinda, and Erivo, starring as Elphaba, were promoting the film when the attacker, later identified as Johnson Wen, disrupted the event. Wen, known online as 'Pyjama Man,' shared a video of the incident on Instagram.

Wen lunged at Grande, grabbing her shoulders and wrapping an arm around her. Grande appeared visibly shaken after the incident. Erivo, however, quickly pushed Wen away, protecting her co-star. Security personnel then intervened, ensuring the safety of the stars and attendees.

The attacker, Johnson Wen, has previously disrupted other celebrity events. His actions at the 'Wicked' premiere have raised concerns about security at such events. Grande and Erivo, who have been promoting the film, are expected to continue their promotional activities despite the incident. The first 'Wicked' movie was a box-office success and earned ten Oscar nominations, setting high expectations for the sequel.
