"Owaisi Criticizes Pakistan: IMF Aid Amidst Border Tensions Named as 'Begging Bowls'"

Asaduddin Owaisi, the AIMIM chief, threw some sharp jabs at Pakistan over the weekend, labeling the country an "official beggar" as it accepted a $1 billion IMF bailout amid ongoing conflicts with India. Owaisi, in a caustic tirade, referred to the IMF as the "International Militant Fund," questioning how countries like the USA, Germany, and Japan could agree to such a deal.

"They're official beggars," Owaisi said, criticizing Pakistan's economic management. He further added that Pakistan seems to be clueless about running an economy. The AIMIM chief also lashed out at Pakistan for placing the region in turmoil with wrong policies and exploiting religion to stoke Hindu-Muslim conflicts.

Owaisi's comments came after India abstained from voting on the IMF's proposed $1.3 billion bailout for Pakistan the day before. India's abstention was due to apprehensions about Pakistan's past misuse of financial aid and concerns over the use of debt financing for state-sponsored terrorism.

The IMF conducted a review of Pakistan's $1 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program and assessed a proposed $1.3 billion Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) loan package on Friday. India's strong dissent extends beyond abstention, as global unease rises over Pakistan's questionable track record with IMF programs and the potential misuse of funds.

The AIMIM chief, Asaduddin Owaisi, also criticized Pakistan's management of general news, particularly the ongoing war-and-conflicts and politics, implying they lack the ability to make informed decisions in these areas. Additionally, Owaisi questioned the IMF's role in funding countries like Pakistan, suggesting that the IMF's involvement could further complicate issues of political negotiation and stability in the region.
