Owain Doull Joins Visma-Lease a Bike for 2026, Bringing Olympic Gold and Classic Racing Experience
Owain Doull is set to join Visma-Lease a Bike for the 2026 season, signing a two-year deal. The Welsh rider brings a wealth of experience to the team, having raced in numerous prestigious events and guided young talents in the past.
Doull, a former Olympic champion in the team pursuit, has competed in all of the WorldTour Flemish cobbled races and Paris-Roubaix in the past season. He has supported Neilson Powless at Dwars door Vlaanderen and has a notable palmarès, including a stage win at Tour de la Provence and a second place at Kuurne-Brussel-Kuurne in 2019.
The 29-year-old has started 17 Monuments in his career and completed four out of five Grand Tours. He will join Simon Yates, Ben Tulett, and Matthew Brennan as one of four Brits on Visma's 2026 roster. Doull is expected to strengthen the team's Classics squad and support Brennan in flat sprints and lead-outs.
Visma-Lease a Bike's head of racing, Grischa Niermann, anticipates that Doull's experience will be invaluable in guiding young talents and bolstering the team's Classics performances. With Doull's signing, the team continues to build a strong roster for the 2026 season.
