Overnight lane closures on Route 283 start March 26 for concrete repairs
Drivers on Route 283 will face lane restrictions from late March as concrete repairs begin. The work starts on March 26 and will affect traffic between Esbenshade Road in Rapho Township and State Road (Route 772) in East Hempfield Township. New Enterprise Stone and Lime Company Inc. has been hired to carry out the project. The repairs will require single-lane closures in both directions, though only one side will be restricted at a time. Work begins at 7 p.m. on March 26, continuing until 6 a.m. the following morning. The same schedule applies from 7 p.m. on March 27 through 6 a.m. on March 30.
No details have been released about how long the entire construction will last. Officials have also not confirmed whether other sections of Route 283 will see similar work in the coming months.
