Overnight airstrikes in Gaza leave at least 60 dead, according to medical reports
In the wee hours of the night, at least 60 lives were sadly taken in relentless airstrikes on Gaza, as confirmed by Palestinian medics. The night marked the second consecutive barrage of heavy bombing, with various locations in Gaza taking multiple hits.
A camera crew in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, witnessed 10 such airstrikes throughout the night, leading up to Thursday. They also observed numerous bodies being transported into the morgue at the Nasser Hospital, many body bags contained multiple remains.
The Al-Awda Hospital in Jabalia, northern Gaza, was also impacted by these airstrikes, according to the hospital officials. The reported death toll follows an earlier statement from the hospital's morgue, which said 54 individuals had been killed. Among the fatalities was a journalist working for a Qatari television network, Hasan Samour, along with 11 family members.
The Israeli military has remained silent on the strikes.
