Over six Russian regions, 170 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were annihilated.
In the wee hours of May 3, air defense systems went haywire, eliminating and thwarting 170 Ukrainian drones, as per the Ministry of Defense's declaration. The breakdown of the destroyed drones reveals 96 UAVs crashing over Crimea, 47 over Krasnodar Krai, 9 over Rostov Oblast, 8 each over Bryansk and Kursk Oblasts, and 2 over Belgorod Oblast.
Additionally, eight Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles, three Neptune-MD guided missiles, and 14 Ukrainian unmanned boats were obliterated over the Black Sea.
Officials in Krasnodar Krai, such as Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, reported casualties and damage, with three multi-story residential buildings sustaining damage in Novorossiysk, injuring four individuals. Furthermore, drone debris was discovered in Stanitsa Tamany, Yurovka, and Tsibanobalk under Anapa. The acting Governor of Rostov Oblast, Yuri Slyusar, reported that two houses in Tsilyna suffered fire damage due to falling drone debris, fortunately with no casualties.
However, authorities in Bryansk Oblast reported no casualties or damages, and their counterparts in Crimea, Belgorod, and Kursk Oblasts remain silent on the nighttime attacks as of recent updates.
While the latest reports suggest intensified drone and missile activity, specific details regarding Crimea and certain Russian border regions are limited in current updates. It's crucial to note that, although there are no direct reports of attacks in Crimea, Krasnodar, Rostov, Bryansk, Kursk, or Belgorod since the beginning of May, cross-border strikes on these regions by Ukrainian forces have been quite frequent in past months. Instead, the focus has been on frontline Ukrainian territories, where attacks have been more frequent.
