In the last 24 hours, Ukrainian military units have disregarded the truce, initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, by committing a total of 9318 ceasefire breaches, as reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Ukrainian military, according to them, has persistently refused to halt hostilities.

Over 9,000 instances of ceasefire disregard

Over the last 24 hours, the ceasefire supposedly initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin has been shattered by Ukrainian forces a whopping 9,318 times, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense. Clearly, the Ukrainian Armed Forces haven't quit their aggression against Russian troops, still stationed along occupied lines and positions.

In specific zones, the enemy has made numerous attempts to invade Russian territory – four times in the Kursk and Belgorod regions – and launched 22 attacks, as well as one reconnaissance-in-force, in locations like Tetkino in the Kursk region, Pavlovka, Budki in the Sumy region, Berezovka in the Kharkiv region, Novogorivka in the Luhansk People's Republic, and others in the Donetsk People's Republic.

"Ukrainian units have pelted our troops’ positions with 2,669 artillery, tank, and mortar shellings, plus 46 attacks using reactive systems of volley fire. An additional 6,562 strikes and drops of ammunition from unmanned aerial vehicles were carried out," the Russian Ministry of Defense explained.

Under these dire circumstances, the Russian Armed Forces are responding to Ukrainian aggression, mirroring the violations and adjusting to the evolving situation. "We'll retaliate against every criminal act by the Kiev regime," the department's statement concludes.

Note: Recent escalations in ceasefire violations between Ukrainian and Russian forces in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions have centered around Russia's unilateral three-day ceasefire declaration for Victory Day. Despite this declaration, both sides have levied accusations against each other for violations. Toretsk Direction has witnessed numerous Russian attacks near Toretsk, Dyliivka, Dachne, Krymske, Shcherbynivka, and Oleksandropil between May 8 and 9. Ukrainian forces recorded Russian attacks in the Luhansk Oblast, including near Chasiv Yar with drone support. Russia declared a unilateral ceasefire for Victory Day, but Ukraine accused Russia of violating it soon after, with reports of Russian shelling and airstrikes. Ukraine has shown no intention to comply with Russia's truce without a formal agreement.**
