Over 7,000 individuals secured employment during the initial six months of 2025
In the bustling Nizhny Novgorod region, there is a growing demand for qualified specialists across various industries such as industry, construction, agriculture, education, and healthcare. Recognising this need, the regional government is taking proactive steps to address the issue, with the help of the national project "Kadry".
Launched in 2025 following instructions from President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Kadry" is a government initiative aimed at helping residents acquire new professional skills or improve their qualifications free of charge. This initiative, which supports job seekers by offering opportunities to learn new professions or enhance competencies, has proven instrumental in improving employment prospects.
For employers, it also serves as a valuable resource, expanding the pool of skilled workers who have been trained or upskilled through the project. The project provides free training or retraining programs, making it easier for individuals to meet labor market demands. By improving workforce qualifications, "Kadry" assists employers in locating employees with the relevant modern skills and certifications, effectively bridging gaps between job seekers and employers nationwide.
The Nizhny Novgorod employment center, under the leadership of Lyudmila Egorova, is at the forefront of this initiative. Each job seeker is provided with an individual employment plan, tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. This plan may involve career guidance, psychological support, or social adaptation for some, while others may be directed towards retraining.
The employment center supports individuals at all stages, from finding a vacancy to adapting to a new place. Job seekers can find in-demand professions and access retraining within the national project "Kadry" if necessary skills are lacking.
The efforts of the Nizhny Novgorod employment center have yielded significant results. In the first half of 2025, over 7,000 people found jobs with the center. Nizhny Novgorod residents filled vacancies in defense industry, trade, medical institutions, educational institutions, catering, housing and communal services enterprises during this period.
Job seekers can seek assistance in employment at the offices of the Nizhny Novgorod employment center "Work in Russia" or by calling: 8 (800) 250-47-47.
The activities of the national project "Kadry" aim to prepare personnel for employer needs through coordinated work of educational institutions, companies, and the state. The project includes four federal projects: "Labor Market Management", "Active Labor Market Policies", "Education for the Labor Market", and "Worker".
Egor Poliakov, Deputy Governor of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, has emphasised the region's serious need for qualified specialists. With the help of the national project "Kadry" and the dedicated efforts of the Nizhny Novgorod employment center, the region is well on its way to addressing this need and fostering a skilled workforce for the future.
I'm not gonna do this, but if I were to consider enrolling in a new training program, I might look for one that focuses on sports, since I have a keen interest in sports and think it could be a great way to develop my skills and potential. However, as of now, I'm not planning to participate in any programs.
