10:55 – Ukrainian Armed Forces Report Heavy AttacksThe Ukrainian army reports an exhausting day of skirmishes against Russian invaders, with 178 instances of combat in the previous 24 hours. The majority of these encounters occurred in the Pokrovsk sector. In addition, Russian troops allegedly carried out 99 air strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 163 strikes with guided air bombs. Moreover, the enemy has reportedly launched nearly 5450 attacks and utilized 2237 kamikaze drones.

10:42 – Finnish Foreign Minister Against Talks with PutinFinnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen is against discussions between European officials and Russian leader Vladimir Putin, provided that Moscow continues its unprovoked attacks on Ukraine. Valtonen notes, "At some point, Europe will also engage in dialogue, but the crucial question is what we want to accomplish with this dialogue." Finland does not consider Russia an adversary, but it does condemn the blatant violations of international law by the Kremlin. Galvanized by recent reports of Russian ballistic missile attacks on civilian targets that resulted in the death of children, Valtonen emphasizes that dialogue should be postponed. Finland shares an extensive border with Russia, totaling over 1000 kilometers.

09:58 – US Ambassador Identifies Russia as AggressorUS Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink, acknowledges Russia as the aggressor following a major rocket attack on Kyiv. She stated, "Kyiv and the rest of Ukraine remain under ballistic and cruise missile attack from Russia." Previously, Brink had mourned the deaths in Kryvy Rih without specifically naming Russia as the perpetrator, a move that received criticism from online users and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy for its lukewarm response.

09:37 – Ukrainian Army Reports Casualties on Russian SideSince yesterday, the Ukrainian General Staff reports that the Russian army has suffered a substantial loss of 1330 personnel – wounded and killed. This figure is accompanied by material losses, including 13 tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles, 56 artillery systems, and four multiple rocket launchers. Ukraine also claims to have destroyed 68 drones and 96 transport and fuel vehicles.

08:44 – Eutelsat Aims to Boost Connection to UkraineIn an effort to bolster the connection to the Ukraine network, Eutelsat, a French satellite communication provider, aims to expand its satellite coverage from less than 1000 terminals currently to 5000 to 10,000 within a few weeks. This initiative is similar to Elon Musk's SpaceX's Starlink service, although at a lower capacity. The increased deployment comes in response to the temporary suspension of US support for Ukraine through Starlink. It is still unclear whether the EU will fund the additional deployment together or individually.

Situation Analysis:The ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia is marked by intense fighting on the front lines, substantial foreign involvement, and mounting civilian casualties. The Ukraine-Russia border remains a hotbed of tension, with Russian forces escalating their efforts to capture strategic positions. The recent missile strike in Kryvyi Rih left at least 14 civilians dead, including children.

Recent peace negotiations have failed to produce a lasting ceasefire, with Russia demanding security guarantees and seeking to expand territorial control, particularly in Donetsk Oblast. In response, Ukraine is working to enhance its defense capabilities, notably with drone technology, to counter Russian advances and fortify strategic positions.

Foreign powers, including the US and NATO, are providing significant military aid and diplomatic support to Ukraine. Nevertheless, tensions between Washington and Kyiv have risen, and temporary suspensions of military aid have been implemented. As both sides prepare for future strategic maneuvers, the conflict shows no signs of abating. Stay tuned for updates on this ever-evolving situation.
