The 2023 Kazan Marathon is breaking new ground, boasting an astounding 33,536 participants hailing from a diverse array of nations.

From the heart of Europe to the bustling cities of Asia and the vibrant African continent, this year's event will witness runners from 25 countries. Notably, 83 regions within Russia will be participating, with Nizhny Novgorod region sending a hearty 707 representatives, according to the organizers.

One intriguing aspect to consider is the widely popular 10-kilometer distance chosen by 10,714 runners, which accounts for nearly a third of the total participants. This year's marathon will also offer a range of distances that will cater to both seasoned and new runners:

  • 21.1 kilometers (half marathon) will challenge the zeal of 7,650 braver souls.
  • 42.2 kilometers (full marathon) will be the ultimate test for 6,670 dedicated runners.
  • For those new to the Marathon scene, a manageable 3-kilometer distance has been introduced, selected by 6,031 enthusiasts.

The Kazan Marathon is set to unfold on May 3 and 4, offering distances of 3, 10, 21.1, and 42.2 kilometers for adults. For the younger generation, they can choose 40, 300, and 600 meters.
