Tomsk's Victory Day Parade: All You Need to Know
Get ready for a grand celebration, Tomsk! Around 1500 residents will participate in this year's Victory Day Parade on May 9th as announced by Denis Shostak, head of the culture department at the city hall.
Your regular bus and trolleybus routes will see some changes during the general rehearsal of the parade on May 7th. Here's a breakdown of the new transportation schedule:
- Trolleybuses No1 and No3 will be halted between the Novosobor Square and the Lagerny Garden, as well as the Susqual Square.
- Buses No4, 12, 23, 119, 141, and 308 will follow this route: Prospekt Kiрова > Belinskaya Street > Prospekt Fruzhe > Prospekt Lenina and then continue on their regular routes.
- Buses No19, 26, 30/33, 112, 118, 130, 150, 442, and 443 will follow the route: Prospekt Lenina > Prospekt Kirov > Belinskaya Street > Prospekt Fruzhe > Prospekt Lenina > and then continue on their regular routes.
- Bus No29 will adjust its route as follows: Prospekt Lenina > Batyokova Lane > Gaagarin Street > Belentsa Street > Taratskaya Street > Bazarny Lane > Moscow Highway > and then continue on its regular route.
- Bus No53 will follow the route: Prospekt Lenina > Prospekt Kirov > Belinskaya Street > Prospekt Fruzhe > and then continue on its regular route.
Keep in mind that, due to the general rehearsal, there might be traffic disruptions between May 7th from 19:00 to 23:30 on the Lenin Avenue stretch from Fruzhe to Kirow, Sportivny Lane from Sovetskaya to Lenin, Gaagarin Street from Fruzhe to Sportivny Lane, and Moscow Highway from Lenin to Tipografskaya.
During the actual Victory Day celebrations on May 9th, expect streets like Lenin Avenue, Trifonov Street, Frunze Avenue, and Moscow Highway to be temporarily closed.
