Over 150 squads participate in the Sugbu Football Fest event
The football community in the Philippines is gearing up for an exciting event as the 1st Sugbu Football Fest 2025 is set to take place on August 2–3, 2025, at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) pitch.
Organized by the Sugbu Calidad Football Club, this two-day tournament promises a vibrant, fun, and community-focused experience for all participants. The event has attracted over 150 teams from the provinces of Cebu, Negros, and Bohol, surpassing the initial expectation of 100 teams.
The tournament will feature 10 categories, catering to both young and senior players. These include the under-6, under-8, under-10, under-12, and under-14 categories for boys and girls, as well as the under-16 categories for both genders. For the senior division, there will be the Men’s Open, Ladies’ Open, and Inter-Company categories.
The energy during the event will be kept high by an event host, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the tournament. Each participant will be thanked for their energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to the Sugbu Football Fest by Chik, on behalf of the organizing committee.
The Sugbu Calidad FC, a grassroots football organization based in Cebu, has gained recognition for its consistent participation in local and national competitions. This event is an opportunity for them to inspire young players and promote community engagement.
Winners in each category will receive trophies and medals. Moreover, individual awards will be given for the Most Valuable Player, Best Goalkeeper, Best Midfielder, and Best Defender in each category.
