"Straight-Beating" and "Repulsive": Musk Slams Trump's Tax Bill with Harsh Words

Unashamed, Blatant Actions Caught on Camera: Scandalous Incident Exposed - "Outspoken" and "offensive": Musk bluntly denounces Trump's tax legislation

Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, has laid into Trump's tax bill, calling it a "disgrace" and "burgled with pork." The American slang, used here, means it's loaded with unnecessary goodies for voters. If passed, those who voted for it should be "beating themselves up," Musk snarled, directing his criticism towards the legislation already approved by the House of Representatives.

During a late-May interview, Musk already expressed his dissatisfaction with the bill. He deemed it an attempt to further inflate the US national debt. This plan would sabotage his objective of saving Trump billions through reduced bureaucracy. A day later, Musk announced his withdrawal from his advisory role.

In his latest tirade, Musk tore into the law as a burden that would saddle citizens with immense, unbearable debt. Trump has officially christened his proposal the "Big Beautiful Bill." Despite prevailing concerns among even some Republicans by mid-July, Trump is fiercely pushing the Senate to pass the bill.

This bill proposes a prolongation of the substantial tax cuts implemented during Trump's first term (2017-2021), which would otherwise expire at the end of the year. The controversial legislation includes steep cuts to the healthcare program Medicaid, which primarily caters to low-income and elderly individuals.

The contentious bill might significantly increase the federal budget deficit by up to $3 trillion (approximately €2.64 billion) over the following ten years, as per observers.

White House spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, reacted with indifference to Musk's latest criticism, stating that it wouldn't sway Trump's support for the planned legislation. "The President is well aware of Elon Musk's stance on the law," she said. Trump remains determined to promote his "monumental, stunningly beautiful law."

Speaker of the US House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, deemed Musk's remarks "frustrating." He had explained the bill draft to Musk during a 20-minute call on Monday, emphasizing that he believed Musk "had grasped" the details.

Musk, serving as an advisor to the President and head of the DOGE department Trump established, was a regular presence at the White House, Air Force One, and Trump's Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago. Musk even brought his four-year-old son to the Oval Office.

By the end of May, Musk announced the conclusion of his efforts for the US government, but stressed that he would remain a loyal ally to Trump. "I look forward to continuing to be a pal and advisor to the President," he said upon his departure. Trump, in turn, lauded the "outstanding contributions" of his advisor and stated that Musk would continue "popping in" at the White House. As a parting gift, he handed Musk a golden key.

Despite achieving limited success in securing $2 trillion in cuts through DOGE, Musk's frustration with his involvement in government affairs has grown. The Atlantic magazine estimates that only a small fraction of that figure was achieved, despite the loss of tens of thousands of jobs due to radical cuts.

With Tesla grappling with significant sales slumps and losses, and SpaceX's giant rocket Starship experiencing a ninth test flight failure just recently, Musk seeks to focus more on his companies.
