Rolling the Dice with Politics: Elon Musk's Scathing Rebuke of Trump's Tax Plan

Audacious Act: Details Revealed - "Outspoken" and "offensive" criticism by Musk of Trump's tax legislation
Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk has unleashed a torrent of criticism towards President Donald Trump's tax bill, not holding back on his choice of words. He bluntly dubbed the bill as a "disgrace" and "stuffed with pork", noting that those who voted for it should feel ashamed. Musk didn't mince words, declaring that the already-passed House bill is a "disgusting abomination" that will burden citizens with crushing debt.
Previously, Musk indicated his dissatisfaction with the bill, expressing concern that it would exacerbate the U.S. national debt and undo Trump's mission to trim bureaucracy-related costs. A day after this statement, he announced his departure from the advisory position.
Now, Musk has set his sights on the law's projected impact on citizens, criticizing it for saddling them with unbearable debts. Trump has affectionately named his draft the "Big Beautiful Bill". Despite concerns raised even among Republicans by early July, Trump is pushing for the Senate to approve this controversial piece of legislation.
The bill proposes an extension of Trump's initial term tax cuts, which were set to expire by the end of the year. To offset these extensions, drastic cuts to the healthcare program Medicaid - primarily serving low-income and elderly individuals - are planned. The bill could potentially increase the federal budget deficit by up to $3.8 trillion (around 2.64 billion euros) over the next ten years, according to analysts.
The White House spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, stirred a rather uninterested response to Musk's latest criticism, stating that the president was unfazed by his remarks and remained committed to his massive tax cut bill.
House of Representatives Speaker, Mike Johnson, was less nonchalant, describing Musk's remarks as "disappointing." In a 20-minute phone call, Johnson had explained the bill to Musk, feeling confident that Musk understood its intricacies.
During Trump's tenure, Musk maintained a close relationship with the president, providing advice in the White House, aboard Air Force One, and even visiting Trump's residence, Mar-a-Lago. Musk even brought his four-year-old son into the Oval Office.
While Musk ended his tenure as a U.S. government advisor in May, he emphasized that he would continue to support Trump. As he bid adieu, Trump showered Musk with praise, expressing gratitude for his "incredible services." He handed Musk a golden key as a farewell gift.
In his role as a government advisor, Musk was tasked with cutting costs in ministries and agencies. However, his radical cuts came at a steep cost: According to estimates by "The Atlantic" magazine, only a thousandth of Musk's goal of saving $2 trillion (1.76 trillion euros) through cuts was actually achieved, despite thousands of people losing their jobs due to these cuts.
Now, Musk is refocusing his attention on his companies, including electric vehicle manufacturer, Tesla, and space exploration company, SpaceX. Tesla has recently suffered significant revenue losses and profit declines, and SpaceX's ninth test flight of the giant Starship rocket failed just a few days ago.
