Outdoor swimming season concludes this weekend in Regensburg; following the closure, dogs are permitted to make noise.
The outdoor swimming season at Stadtwerk.Bäder has come to an end, with Stadtwerk.Wörthbad and Stadtwerk.Westbad closing their doors on September 20 and September 22 respectively. Despite the unsettled weather, the season has been a success, according to the management of Stadtwerk.Bäder.
In May, around 1,800 guests visited Stadtwerk.Wörthbad, with a similar number, approximately 20,500, visiting the Westbad. The following month saw a significant increase in visitors, with over 55,700 people flocking to the Westbad and nearly 79,000 visiting Stadtwerk.Wörthbad.
August was the busiest month of the season, with around 46,300 guests at the Westbad and a daily record of 4,535 guests on July 2. At Stadtwerk.Wörthbad, August saw nearly 79,000 visitors, with a peak of 3,452 guests on August 12. However, there is no available information about the number of visitors to Wörthbad in August 2025.
June and September also attracted a substantial number of visitors. June attracted over 3,000 guests on June 29 to Stadtwerk.Wörthbad, while September has added another 16,300 visitors to the Westbad so far. The warm days in September have also added another 2,500 visitors to Stadtwerk.Wörthbad.
Since May 12, around 185,400 people have visited the Westbad, and since the same date, around 79,000 people have visited Stadtwerk.Wörthbad.
As the outdoor swimming season comes to a close, Stadtwerk.Sportpark Ost is preparing to open its 50-meter sports pool. The pool will be open from 7:00 AM (weekdays except holidays) and 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays. On weekends and holidays, the pool will be open from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
Despite the end of the outdoor swimming season, water enthusiasts can still enjoy the facilities at Stadtwerk.Sportpark Ost, which will be open from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM on weekdays, and from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM on weekends and holidays. The popular dog swimming event marked the end of the season at Stadtwerk.Wörthbad on September 20, but there are already plans in place for next year's season.
