Wellesweiler Open Air Festival Returns in 2025
Get ready, metalheads! The Wellesweiler Open Air (WOA) festival is back for another year of headbanging fun. Scheduled to take place on Friday, August 8, and Saturday, August 9, 2025, in Neunkirchen-Wellesweiler, Germany, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Organised by WOA e.V., a non-profit and voluntary organisation, the festival will once again transform Berthold-Günther-Platz into the epicenter of the Saarland metal scene.
Overnight guests can enjoy a budget-friendly campsite right next to the festival grounds for a continuous festival feeling. The lineup this year includes a variety of heavy metal, alternative rock, melodic death, and dark sounds, with four Saarland bands, Bad Butler, Generation F., Savage Sentence, and Call Black Crows, taking the stage.
On Friday, the tribute band "Screaming for Vengeance" will perform an energetic Judas Priest tribute. The following day, "Metal Heart" will bring Accept classics to the stage. Volunteers at the festival work on stage, tech, drinks, setup, and breakdown out of love for metal music. Admission starts on Friday at 16:00 and on Saturday at 14:30.
