Groovin' in Wesel: The Auesee Summer Cinema Returns

Get ready to recline under the stars, because Wesel's living room, the delightful Auesee, is hosting its annual Summer Cinema extravaganza! From August 14 to 17, our city becomes an open-air theatre, sharing four unforgettable evenings with films that'll tantalize your tastebuds for entertainment.

Coinciding with the philanthropic Comet Cine Center Wesel, the Summer Cinema brings a blend of classic, family-friendly, and action-packed blockbusters to the heart of Wesel. Check out the program below and make sure to secure your seat!

Groovy flicks for your summers nights:

  • Thursday: Bridget Jones - This Nutty Love Story (2025)Stepping into the navigating shoes of Bridget once more, this cult comedy is sure to leave you in stitches. Limited-time success, according to Jens Kamysek, the cinema manager.
  • Friday (Kiddie Korner): Lilo & Stitch (2002)This charming animated film follows the story of Lilo, a young girl, and Stitch, a destructive space alien, and has a wide appeal for everyone aged 6 upwards, says Kamysek.
  • Saturday: Mission Impossible 8 (2025)No need to catch up on the whole series, because this action-packed Tom Cruise movie takes the MI franchise to new heights, assures Kamyssek.
  • Sunday: Penguin Bloom (2022)This heartwarming Australian film, which performed exceptionally well in Germany, is the perfect way to wind down the weekend, according to Kamysek.
