Outdoor concert season revitalizes: Dallas Symphony Orchestra spearheads a series of summer concerts throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
🎶 Liven Up Your Summer in North Texas with a Symphony of Concert Series! 🎶
Get ready to groove, strum, and rhythm your way through the warmer months in North Texas! The Dallas Symphony Orchestra Parks Concert Series is making a comeback this Memorial Day, May 26, and it's not the only symphony of melodies you'll find across the region.
Michelle Miller Burns, the Ross Perot president and CEO of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, shared her excitement, stating, "There's nothing quite like seeing the community come together to experience the joy and magic of live music." Over the months of May and June, five free concerts will fill the air at various parks within the city, each kicking off at 8:15 p.m.
The Memorial Day concert at Flag Pole Hill, alongside the nearby White Rock Lake Trail, will be the starting note. This performance will have a patriotic flavor with songs like America the Beautiful and a spectacular fireworks show at 9:15 p.m. However, if the Mark Twain speaks the truth about weather and it rains cats and dogs, the concert will find shelter at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center.
The assistant conductor of the DSO, Shira Samuels-Schragg, will lead all performances. For June, she'll be conducting the orchestra in playing some well-known film and TV scores, such as numbers from West Side Story, Star Wars: The Mandalorian, and ET: Adventures on Earth.
