Worry in Althüttendorf Over Rampant Wolf

Marian Ebert, who enjoys exploring the Schorfheide on his e-bike, also fell victim to the terror. In May, he was cycling near Joachimsthal, heading towards the forest along the bike path. When he got closer, he realized the "large dog" wasn't so friendly: it was a wolf .
Powerless against the wolf, Ebert accelerated on his bike, fortunate the wolf eventually stopped its pursuit.
According to Karl Beyer, whose sheep flock was assaulted twice by wolves, the fearsome critters are growing less fearful of humans. He shares concerns as his pasture borders directly with an Althüttendorf kindergarten.
Objects litter the pasture after two sheep were cruelly killed by the outlaw wolf. Dr. Ulrike Kleineberg, a local molecular biologist, voiced her disapproval on how politicians manage wolves. In her opinion, they should prioritize regulating sheep owners and their herds, rather than the wolves themselves.
Dr. Kleineberg highlighted the disparity between implementing unrealistic "minimum requirements for herd protection" for livestock owners compared to how wolves are controlled in countries with stable populations .
"In other countries, wolves that come too close to villages are culled, creating a healthy fear that keeps the adaptive wolves at a distance. But in our area, wolves are losing their fear of humans and are turning into threats," Dr. Kleineberg announced .
