New Leadership at Reporters Without Borders (RSF): Anja Osterhaus and Maik Thieme to Jointly Lead

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is set to undergo a significant change in leadership, with Anja Osterhaus and Maik Thieme taking over as co-managing directors starting April 15.

Currently, Maik Thieme serves as the commercial Managing Director at RSF, having joined the organisation on January 1. His responsibilities at RSF have been focused on the commercial sector. With this new role, he will continue to oversee commercial matters while working in tandem with Osterhaus.

On the other hand, Anja Osterhaus will assume the role of Managing Director for Politics and Strategy at RSF, also starting April 15. She will be responsible for the Politics and Strategy sector, overseeing RSF's strategic direction and political advocacy efforts.

Christian Mihr, the previous Managing Director of RSF, is moving to Amnesty International. His departure from RSF is imminent, marking the end of an era for the organisation.

In this new leadership structure, both Osterhaus and Thieme will jointly lead the management of RSF, working together to guide the organisation into the future.

This change in leadership promises to bring fresh perspectives and renewed energy to RSF, as it continues its mission to defend and promote press freedom worldwide.
