Orlando Magic Eager for Jalen Suggs and Moe Wagner's Returns in 2025-26
The Orlando Magic are eager to welcome back Jalen Suggs and Moe Wagner for the upcoming 2025-26 season. Suggs, who appeared in just 35 games last season, is targeting opening night for his return after recovering from a knee injury. Meanwhile, Wagner, who signed a one-year deal to return to the Magic, is expected to miss the first half of the season due to an ACL tear.
Suggs last played for the Magic on Jan. 25, 2025, and has been recovering from a left knee trochlea cartilage tear. His exact return date remains uncertain, but the organization is prioritizing his full recovery before he resumes playing. Suggs is expected to participate in parts of training camp and potentially play in at least one preseason game before opening night.
Wagner, who suffered a torn left ACL in late-December 2024 and underwent surgery in early January 2025, is currently working on getting back in shape rather than rehabbing his injury. He scored in double figures 23 times in the 2024-25 season, including a career-high 32 points against the New York Knicks.
The Magic are optimistic about having both Suggs and Wagner back in the lineup at some point during the 2025-26 season. While Suggs' return is targeted for opening night, Wagner is expected to miss the first half of the season.
