Organized nationwide protests set for implementation: IK

In Rawalpindi, Imran Khan, the jailed chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), declared on Saturday that his party would initiate a nationwide protest movement. According to Senator Ali Zafar, who met Khan during the hearing of the Toshakhana II case, the former prime minister vowed to lead the movement from behind bars.

Zafar reported that Khan believes the PTI has been cornered, leaving them no choice but to take to the streets. The movement's epicenter will not be in the federal capital but across the country, as announced by the PTI leader.

The PTI founder intends to direct the campaign personally from his prison cell, according to Zafar. He also revealed that he has been assigned the responsibility of drafting a comprehensive protest strategy. This strategy will be honed in consultation with legal experts and the PTI leadership, as per Zafar.

The protest movement, according to Zafar, will be meticulously planned, surpassing previous protest movements in organization and preparedness. Despite anticipating obstacles, the party claims to possess the means and experience to overcome them.

Further details of the protest movement's plan are expected to be finalized and distributed within a few days. The adjournment of proceedings in the Toshakhana II case on Saturday was due to the non-appearance of Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, who was denied a scheduled meeting with her husband on Tuesday.

In the special court hearing, the judge waited for over three and a half hours for Bushra Bibi, but she failed to attend. The court expressed displeasure over her absence, warning that if she skips the next hearing, her bail may be revoked. The prosecution requested the court to cancel Bushra Bibi's bail, but the judge granted her one last chance and adjourned the hearing until June 3.

District administrations of twin cities, meanwhile, have blocked multiple roads in connection with the PTI protests.
