Orange Morocco Unites Against Harassment With New Digital Safety Initiative
Orange Morocco has launched a new initiative to combat harassment and cyberbullying in schools and online spaces. The programme, named الاهتمام المشترك (Shared Concern), brings together government agencies, law enforcement, and child protection groups to create a safer digital environment for young people across Morocco.
The initiative is part of Orange Morocco's broader #ForGoodConnections campaign, which promotes responsible digital behaviour. Its key goals include training school staff, setting up treatment protocols for incidents, and mobilising student ambassadors to lead awareness efforts. Families will also receive guidance through dedicated campaigns, while a national monitoring system tracks progress.
Orange Morocco is working closely with several partners on the project. These include the Agence de Développement du Digital (ADD), the DGSN, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Observatoire National Des Droits de l'Enfant, and the Centre ReSIS, an organisation tackling school-related distress. The Minister of National Education has also reviewed and endorsed the programme, reinforcing its alignment with national priorities.
The company's efforts focus on turning digital technology into a tool for trust, prevention, and equal opportunities. While the initiative emphasises education and awareness, detailed reports on its measurable impact over the past two years remain limited in public sources.
The الاهتمام المشترك programme aims to build a coordinated response to harassment and cyberbullying in Morocco. By involving schools, families, and law enforcement, Orange Morocco and its partners seek to foster safer digital habits among young people. The long-term success will depend on ongoing collaboration and the effectiveness of its prevention strategies.
