Options for Addressing Trump's Situation:
In these weird-ass times, it's crucial for Christians to keep politics from stacking up like bills they can't pay. But sometimes, events shit the bed so hard, we gotta respond. Balance and silence ain't cooperation – it's complicity. That's why I'm here, bumbling along in the shadow of legends like Karl Barth and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.
Many Christians, in the US and beyond, were jazzed to see Donald Trump win a second term in 2024. Their reasons are legit. They're concerned about illegal immigration, religious freedom, traditional values, government spending, and debt. However, no damn policy is worth the chaos, bullshit, and rights violations Trump's been doling out since he took office in 2025. As I've already said my piece on freedom of speech, let's focus on the Trump-backers.
Christians supporting Trump should take a hard look at the potential fallout for the realm of God. Here's a brief rundown:
- Pardoning violent scumbags
- Slashing humanitarian aid without so much as a "bye-bye"
- Disrespected Ukraine's badass leader – with his balls probably shriveled up
- Pissed off friendly countries with threats of annexation – ain't nobody got time for share borders
- Screwed up economies with ass-backwards tariff policies
- Deported people without due process
- Used his power to sneak dive on enemies like lawyers, judges, media, and universities he couldn't stand
Christians need to weigh the long-term effects of backing Trump. History might not look too kindly on those who propped up a guy who thrived on disrespect and fearmongering.
I get it – standing up to the man can be risky business. Many good people have been swayed by Trump's charm. Yet, it's time to square our shoulders and say enough is enough. This authoritarian chapter needs to shut the fuck down before it does more damage.
We gotta show some grace to those who, for honest reasons, teamed up with Trump. They have a lot to lose, and speaking out now might get them nuked. But we need to nudge them, beg them even, to take a long, hard look at their support and help put an end to the bullshit.
The world's sayin' that Trump's rise is a division hangover from 70 years ago. Fumes of rotten corruption still linger, and future generations might shake their heads at Christians who blindly sided with Trump, much like we cringe at the church's support of slavery.
Non-US Christians can help bail us out by urging their countries and associations not to kiss Trump's ass. Weaker nations can keep dominant powers in check by standing up for what's right – even if it means gettin' hurt in the process. Submission never produces good results.
Let's pray for the Church to cleanse itself, protect the innocent, love our enemies, and shine like a light in these dark times.

- In their response to war-and-conflicts and general-news such as the political stance of Donald Trump, some Christians need to reconsider the long-term effects of their support, as history might not view favorably those who propped up a leader who thrived on disrespect and fearmongering.
- In the realm of politics, policies and legislation, it's important for Christians to carefully weigh the potential consequences of their actions, as seen in the case of supporting Trump, who has been involved in several controversies, including disregard for humanitarian aid, disrespect towards leaders, and violations of rights.
