Marianne and Michael Hartl, beloved folk musicians, are eagerly anticipating their most beautiful decade - their golden years. With both approaching their 70s, they've decided it's time to chase new adventures, leave the stage behind, and cherish the precious moments together.
Bidding farewell to show business in 2024, the couple will wrap up their career with a final performance in Thuringia. In a conversation with a popular tabloid, Marianne shares their excitement about embracing this new chapter in their lives. "We're 71 and 75, many of our friends and colleagues are passing away around us. We want to live!," she says, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing their personal happiness over their careers.
After years of exhausting tours, intense rehearsals, and countless gigs, they're looking forward to singing privately with family and grandchildren, free from the demands of their former lifestyle. One of their post-retirement dreams is a four-week motorboat trip to Greece, once the weather warms up. "It's pure adventure with heart-pounding moments," Marianne describes the thrill of their upcoming adventure.
Their decision to focus on their family, hobbies, and charity association "Frohes Herz" became even more prominent after Michael's stroke in 2022. The experience made the Hartls realize how precious time together is and motivated them to take care of their health and well-being, aiming for many more happy and healthy years as a couple.
Their new chapter is filled with promises of freedom from patterns and hectic schedules, allowing them to enjoy life's simple pleasures and create new memories.
