Once a vibrant disco space, now transformed into a showroom filled with antique automobiles.
On Saturday, August 9th, the Jürgenstorf Oldtimer Club is inviting all oldtimer enthusiasts to their regional meet at a new location on Zettemin Street. The event, which takes place from 9:30 AM, will showcase around 200 beautifully preserved and restored classic and vintage vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and possibly tractors.
The new location, previously home to the ruins of the disco "Big Apple" until 2020, has been taken over by the Jürgenstorf Oldtimer Club a few years ago. This larger space promises a more spacious and enjoyable experience for both visitors and participants.
As the day unfolds, attendees can look forward to a friendly atmosphere, opportunities to talk with owners about the history and restoration of their vehicles, and likely some refreshments or small local vendors. For the younger visitors, there will be a bouncy castle and face painting available.
At 11 AM, a drive tour is scheduled, taking participants on routes through Jürgenstorf, Zettemin, Gielow, Gessin, Malchin, Grammentin, Stavenhagen, and back to the festival grounds. Many parts dealers have confirmed their attendance at the event, making it an ideal location for those seeking parts to restore their oldtimers, as Jürgenstorf is known for its suitability in this regard, according to Steingraf.
The Jürgenstorf Firefighters' Association will provide food and drinks at the event, ensuring that everyone stays energised throughout the day. The Jürgenstorf Oldtimer Club is inaugurating the new festival grounds with this event, marking a new chapter in their history and promising a nostalgic and enjoyable event celebrating automotive heritage. All oldtimer enthusiasts are welcome to attend and immerse themselves in the charm of bygone eras.
- The Jürgenstorf Oldtimer Club's inauguration of the new festival grounds, featuring 200 preserved and restored classic vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, and possibly tractors, promises a nostalgic lifestyle event that sports enthusiasts might also find appealing.
- After exploring the oldtimer vehicles and talking with owners about their history and restoration, attendees can participate in a sports event – a scheduled drive tour through Jürgenstorf, Zettemin, Gielow, Gessin, Malchin, Grammentin, Stavenhagen, and back to the festival grounds – that provides an opportunity to purchase parts to restore their own cars, especially given Jürgenstorf's reputation for automotive parts supplies.
