On-going reconstruction work in Latvia's grand Guild
The historic Great Guild Hall in Riga, a cultural and historical monument dating back to the 14th century and currently home to the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra (LNSO), is undergoing a significant renovation and insulation project.
Demolition works have been completed, and energy efficiency improvement solutions have been agreed upon in the project so far. A time capsule containing messages for future generations, including information about the project participants, wishes, artistic and philosophical messages, and possible finders of the capsule, has been placed in the foundation of the stage of the Great Guild's Great Hall.
