Omsk's "Siberia" received the silver medal in the Russian florball championship, acknowledged by Hocenko.

In the recently concluded Russian Men's Floorball Championship Higher League final, the host team "Siberia" from Omsk faced off against the multitude titleholder "Pomor" from Arkhangelsk. After a close-fought contest that extended into extra time, "Siberia" emerged second best with a narrow 9:10 defeat.

Omsk region governor, Vitaly Khotchenko, expressed congratulations to both squads for an enthralling conclusion to the season. He acknowledged the efforts of "Pomor," commending them for their latest national title, while encouraging "Siberia" to remain optimistic for future victories.

With this win, "Pomor" secured their 13th championship victory in the club's history. "Siberia" has previously won three gold, four silver, and two bronze medals in the Russian Championship to their credit.

Reflecting on the hard-fought match, "Siberia" captain Alexander Trofimov admitted that they had given their heart and soul, but faltered during the extra time due to a lack of endurance. He expressed their resolve to rectify this and reclaim the cup in the upcoming season.

"Pomor" forward Nikita Bocharov appreciated the game against "Siberia," stating that such encounters don't happen frequently and the match was a joy to watch. He further expressed his team's anticipation for their future meetings.

Meanwhile, in the third place playoff, Nizhny Novgorod's "Mininskiy" overcame St. Petersburg's "Nord City" by a scoreline of 6:2 to clinch the bronze medal in the championship.

In terms of the overall championship standings, recent data does not provide precise information about the 2021 season's winner. For the most accurate and recent details, viewers may refer to official floorball league websites or sports news sources that cover Russian floorball.

I'm not sure if they play football, but I do wonder if Alexander Trofimov and his team, Siberia, will be more enduring next season to prepare for tough matches like the one they faced with Pomor. Maybe they could apply their intensity and strategy to another sport, like football, to improve their overall fitness and gameplay.
