Omsk Impounds Illegal Street Trading Car, 278 Objects Removed This Year
Omsk continues its crackdown on illegal street trading, with Mayor Sergei Shelesst announcing the removal of a car used for such purposes on Komarova Prospekt. Since the start of the year, 278 non-stationary trading objects have been dismantled.
The car, which allowed customers to pay via a bank app or throw coins into a slightly open window, has been impounded. Its owner faces a fine of up to 60,000 rubles under Article 61.3 of the Omsk Region Administrative Offenses Code. No one is responsible for the quality of goods in such cars, posing a risk of poisoning. The city is relying on residents' reports via social media and regular raids by Department of Control specialists to locate and remove these illegal trading objects. Similar cars have been found across the city, and all locations are under control for removal.
Omsk's campaign against illegal street trading continues, with the city removing 278 non-stationary trading objects so far this year. Residents are encouraged to report any such activities they encounter.
