Oluwo of Iwo Accuses Ooni of Ife of Plot to Kill Him

Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo land, has made serious allegations against the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi. Akanbi claims a plot to kill him, involving a woman named Ajibade and his former Canadian wife.

Oba Akanbi asserts that Sango and Ogun, revered Yoruba deities, cannot harm him as they are his ancestors, not criminals. He maintains that the Ooni cannot suspend him as the paramount ruler of Iwo land.

Akanbi alleges that a woman, Ajibade, was sent to him as part of a plot to poison him. He now questions the paternity of a child born from this encounter. He believes the Ooni colluded with his ex-wife to orchestrate this set-up.

Akanbi further claims that the Ooni used his former Canadian wife as a cover-up for his role in Ogunwusi's emergence as Ooni of Ile-Ife. He alleges that the Ooni wanted to silence him to hide this secret.

Oba Akanbi's allegations have raised serious issues within the Yoruba royal hierarchy. The Ooni of Ife has not yet responded to these claims. The situation remains tense, with potential implications for the political and cultural landscape of Yorubaland.
