The Titan Remains Pay-TV Provider Sky - Oliver Khan extends Sky contract as Triple ratings soar by 40%

Oliver Khan has renewed his contract with Sky ahead of schedule. The former Bayern Munich goalkeeper will remain a regular expert on Triple – Der Hagedorn-Fußballtalk for the upcoming season. His presence has already boosted the show's popularity since he joined in late 2025.

Khan first signed with Sky Sport in 2025 as a football pundit. His debut on Triple in October that year quickly made an impact. Within three months, viewership climbed by around 40%, reaching over 500,000 viewers per episode by January 2026. The surge in ratings was linked to his star appeal and lively discussions on the show.

The programme airs three times a week, with an extra episode on Thursdays during UEFA Champions League weeks. Fellow panellist Riccardo Basile has spoken positively about continuing to work alongside Khan. Meanwhile, Sky's head of sports, Alexander Rösner, welcomed the contract extension as a major plus for the broadcaster.

Show host Thomas Hagedorn has repeatedly praised Khan's expertise, straightforward explanations, and genuine approach. These qualities, he says, have made the former goalkeeper a valuable part of the team.

Khan's extended deal ensures he stays on Triple for the next season. The show's growing audience reflects his influence as a pundit. Sky now looks to build on this success with his continued involvement.
