Oliveira secures three podiums in Portimão, stays in title hunt
Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (BMW) secured third place in Sunday's second race of the weekend at Portimão's World Superbike round, held at the Algarve International Circuit (AIA).
He crossed the finish line 5.129 seconds behind race winner Niccolò Bulega (Ducati). The victory marked Bulega's 10th consecutive win in the World Superbike Championship—a streak that began in the second race at Estoril in 2025, during the penultimate round of last season.
With this result, Oliveira has now claimed a podium finish in all three races held this weekend.
In the championship standings, Oliveira leaves Portimão in fourth place with 56 points, just four behind Italian rider Axel Bassani (Bimota).
The next round will take place at Assen, in the Netherlands, from April 17 to 19.
