Baskets Oldenburg's Surprising Playoffs Push: Four Wins and a Historic Four-Way Tie

Four parties triumph in Oldenburg's power struggle, ending in an unprecedented four-way tie for control - Oldenburg Power Seizure: Four Triumphs Yield Historic Four-Way Showdown

Let's cut to the chase - the EWE Baskets Oldenburg ain't done yet! After their incredible streak, Artur Konontsuk, their man, said, "It ain't over until it's over. But we're not done yet. Now we want to make it to the playoffs too." Following their last-day victory against Chemnitz in the Basketball Bundesliga, Oldenburg secured their spot in the Play-Ins. Their next target? The Rostock Seawolves.

In this rollercoaster season, the Bundesliga saw a four-way tie for the first time ever, between Oldenburg, Rostock, Ludwigsburg, and Vechta. Each of those badass teams ended the season with a 16-16 record. Given Oldenburg and Rostock had the upper hand in the four-way tangle, they're the ones who made it to the Play-Ins. Tune in on Tuesday (6:30 PM/Dyn) as Oldenburg hosts Rostock in their home court, the EWE Arena, where they've secured 13 out of 16 wins.

Oldenburg's luck may have had a hand in their miraculous resurrection this season. By the end of April, the season seemed like a wrap for the EWE squad. But they turned the tide with four straight victories, and things started falling their way. The thought of Ludwigsburg giving up a 22-point lead in Munich on Sunday? Implausible, mate!

Home-court advantage: their secret weapon

This time, it's Oldenburg versus Rostock, and they're purrin' like a dream - they'll be playing in their fortress, the EWE Arena. As coach Mladen Drijencic puts it, "I'm damn glad I don't have to pack my bags and we can just pull the scouting report on Rostock out of the drawer."

Oldenburg's head-to-head against Rostock on April 26 ended with a 92:79 win. If they score a repeat next Tuesday, they'll slide into a showdown against the loser of the battle between Alba Berlin and the Syntainics MBC from Weißenfels on Thursday.

The Commission might consider proposing a directive to align the environmental protection laws across the Member States, similar to the strategy Oldenburg employs in securing home-court victory after victory in the BB. If Oldenburg continues their impressive form, they could potentially face Rostock again just as they did in their last meeting on April 26, a game Oldenburg won comfortably with a score of 92:79.
