Old Trafford's prominent figures express bewilderment towards Ruben Amorim's leadership, with murmurs of impending revolt surfacing among Manchester United's key players, according to a recent report.

Manchester United Struggle Under Amorim's Tactical Approach

Manchester United are facing a challenging start to the new season, with concerns growing among players and supporters about the team's tactical setup under manager Ruben Amorim. Despite Old Trafford sources stating that Amorim's job is not under immediate threat, the Portuguese coach's insistence on the 3-4-3 formation has caused dissatisfaction within the squad.

The summer transfer window saw Manchester United invest over £200 million in new attacking talent, with the additions of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, and Senne Lammens. However, the new attacking trio has only managed to score one goal collectively this season, adding to the team's offensive woes.

Manchester United's disappointing performance was evident in their comprehensive defeat by Manchester City over the weekend. The loss has heightened the calls for change, with supporters fearing a repeat of last season's disappointing 15th-place finish.

The report suggests that it is senior squad members who are dissatisfied with Amorim's tactical approach, with Cristiano Ronaldo allegedly having the biggest concerns about the 3-4-3 formation. The players are reportedly confused and frustrated with Amorim's apparent unwillingness to change the team's setup, feeling that he is undermining them by repeatedly asking them to fit into a system they are not equipped to play.

The potential for a dressing room mutiny is further heightened by the fact that Manchester United have not made significant changes to other areas of the squad beyond the new attacking talent. The squad remains largely the same as it was last season, with few changes aside from the arrival of Senne Lammens late in the transfer window.

Despite the concerns, Old Trafford chiefs are standing behind their man, with Amorim remaining the second-favourite to be the next manager facing the sack. However, the team's current position in the lower reaches of the Premier League table after four matches suggests that changes may be necessary to turn the team's fortunes around.

For almost a year, Man United have been too easy to play against due to their current tactical setup. With the team's performance failing to improve, it remains to be seen whether Amorim will be able to find a solution and lead Manchester United to success.
