Oktoberfest 2025: Wiesn Welcomes the New Year Celebration
The Economic Affairs Department's music competition 'A Liad für d'Wiesn' has come to a thrilling conclusion, with the band Fenzl emerging as the winner. The victory was secured with their catchy tune 'Bierdringa,' which was presented live at Café Theres during the press tour.
The competition began in July when the public voted for their favorite songs online. A total of 115 entries were received, and eight finalists were initially selected to compete. The final three songs were showcased live at the 'Brass Wiesn' festival on August 2nd.
Michael Fenzl, the lead singer and namesake of the band Fenzl, was previously a double bass player for Django 3000. His talent and charisma shone through during the competition, leading Fenzl to victory.
The victory was not decided immediately, however. After the initial voting in July, a final round of voting took place until mid-September to determine the winner. The public's support for Fenzl and their song 'Bierdringa' was unwavering, ultimately securing their win.
The music producer behind 'A Liad für d'Wiesn' is Thomas M. Stein. His expertise and dedication to discovering new talent played a significant role in the success of the competition.
With Fenzl's win, 'Bierdringa' has become the anthem of Oktoberfest 2022. The band's energetic performance and infectious tune have captured the hearts of many, making 'Bierdringa' a hit that will undoubtedly be heard for years to come.
