Oktoberfest 2025: The Wiesn Celebrates a Fresh Start
In an exciting turn of events, Michael Unfried Fenzl, better known as FENZL, has emerged as the winner of the "A Liad für d'Wiesn" music competition by the Ministry of Economic Affairs in 2025. His winning song, "Bierdringa", will now be the anthem of the Oktoberfest.
The journey to victory began earlier in the year, with the public voting online for their favourite song until mid-July. The competition saw a total of 115 entries, from which Fenzl's "Bierdringa" was chosen as the winner.
The top three songs were presented live at the "Brass Wiesn" festival on August 2nd, where Fenzl's performance of "Bierdringa" impressed the audience and judges alike. The final round of voting took place until mid-September, with Fenzl securing the most votes to clinch the title.
Michael Fenzl, the lead singer and namesake of the band, is no stranger to the music scene. He was previously the double bassist of Django 3000. The success of "Bierdringa" marks a significant milestone in his career.
