Okhotsk & Khabarovsk Braces for Cold, Windy Weather

Residents of Okhotsk and Khabarovsk can expect a mix of cold and windy weather over the next few days, with temperatures hovering around freezing and snowflakes possible in the sky.

Starting on Monday, the regional capital, Khabarovsk, will enjoy sunny but windy conditions. Winds will blow from the west at 2 to 5 m/s, with gusts reaching up to 11 m/s on Tuesday.

In Okhotsk, temperatures will remain chilly. On Tuesday night, they will dip to a minimum of -6°C, with daytime highs reaching a mere +4°C. The northern winds will bring some relief, but temperatures will only rise to 0°C by 10:00 on October 14. Meteorologists warn of snowflakes in the Habarovsk sky this weekend, with light winds ranging from 3 to 5 m/s on October 13, and gusts up to 9 m/s.

The cold snap is expected to continue into Tuesday, with nighttime lows in Okhotsk dropping to -6°C and daytime highs reaching +4°C. Residents are advised to dress warmly and take necessary precautions against the cold and windy conditions.
