Gilgeous-Alexander, described by his coach as the ultimate team player, acknowledged the team's resilience: "Just a fantastic performance by the whole team. We were seconds away from losing this game, but there was desperation, and it got us the win."

OKC able to maintain their composure in the tense final stretch, the visitors managed to overcome a ten-point third-quarter deficit (76:86) to claim an 11-point victory. In the final two minutes of the third quarter, expectations for the Thunder's victory were low. However, with Gilgeous-Alexander's three-pointer giving them their first lead since the first half (104:103) with 2:23 left, and him converting all of his free throws in the last 44 seconds, the game was ultimately sealed.

According to Gilgeous-Alexander, the situation heading into this crucial Game 4 was pivotal. "When we woke up this morning, we knew: a 3:1 lead is a lot different than a 2:2 before we head back home," he said.
