Offshore Basketball Camps Organized by AIDA & Rostock Seawolves
In an unprecedented collaboration, AIDA Cruises and the Rostock Seawolves Basketball team have joined forces to offer two summer basketball camps aboard the AIDAnova cruise ship in 2025. These camps, scheduled for July 26 to August 2 and August 23 to August 30, promise a unique blend of basketball training and cruising experiences for sports-loving families [1].
The six-day camps, held at sea, will see participants undergo intensive and varied training with professional coaches from the Rostock Seawolves, focusing on skills such as technique, tactics, and speed. Bundesliga professional Svante Schmundt will lead the training sessions, ensuring a high standard of coaching [2].
In addition to basketball drills, the camps offer a range of activities designed to foster teamwork and camaraderie. These include team-building exercises, shared leisure activities, movie nights, and a visit to the climbing park. Friendship matches with local clubs in two ports along the route offer an opportunity to practice the skills learned [6].
The camps are open to children and young people aged 10 to 14. The participation fee is set at 300 € per person [3].
